If you’re a regular reader of this blog you’ll know that I’m a huge fan of Lego…well it’s PR to be more precise.

I doff my cap to the bright sparks who never cease to amaze me with their brilliance in using the toy bricks to come up with clever stunts that get brilliant media coverage.

There was the Lego interpretation of classic album covers.

More recently, they built a Volvo car as part of a work ‘prank’

Now they’ve done it again. This time they’ve built a 10m tall Christmas tree in London’s Kings Cross St Pancras railway station.

You’ve got to marvel at it – not just the physical structure but getting permission to build it in such a prominent London location and also the subsequent press coverage it has attracted.

As well as creating iconic stunts which will no doubt win the company a sleigh full of industry awards and accolades, Lego’s PR team has done the job it set out to do and remind that the product can be used to build absolutely anything.
